Did you also study literature? And isn't it amazing how everybody's thesis subject seems to be so much more interesting than the one I'm struggling to finish... Except they probably will find the same applies to them, when it comes to the time they struggle to finish! I like the one about Buffy and language...

I graduated with a B.A. in French and English from Maynooth College and then taught in secondary school. Many friends went on to do Masters and doctorates. I used type work and make gallons of tea and hearty soups to keep us all going.
I know what you mean about how everybody else's work seems so much more interesting, but that is the same in every profession and it always passes.
I hope your thesis will be published on the internet so we can all enjoy it.
(This has just reminded me of the horrors of typing in French on an old Remington before I could afford an electric machine with accents built in. Spelling mistakes meant re-typing a whole page, as carbon copies were made at the same time as a record for various examiners.)
