William McKeown at IMMA... Not To Be Missed...
Last night we has an astonishing experience.
In the Baroque Chapel in Imma, William McKeown spoke for an hour
about his paintings and what motivates him.
If you have a chance, go to see the exhibition.
As the artist said, the work is in the silent spaces he finds
in memory and desire.
"Jouissance"
This is the first time I have heard a talk that seemed to ebb and flow
seamlessly with the images on the screen.
Many thanks to the kind people who welcomed us to this event
and who served mulled wine and fantastic mince-pies afterwards.
